ALL IRELAND FOURBALL TEAM
Our All Ireland Fourball team set off on a marathon journey in April playing six matches to
reach the Leinster Finals on the 20th August. The team was expertly managed by Neil Corr
and Michael Ryan as they rotated the squad to keep them fresh for the long campaign. Along
the way they had many close matches but they produced the results when they were needed
most.
Matches Played: Round 1 beat The Island 4-1,Round 2 beat Hollystown 3.5-1.5, Round 3
beat Clontarf 3-2, Round 4 beat Forrest Little 3-2 (19th), Round 5 beat Corrstown 4-1, S/F beat
Tullamore 3-2 (19th) with Bob Sandford’s birdie.
Final Lost 3-2 Royal Curragh, in the terrible weather conditions at Enniscorthy where we lost
a great match on the last hole. The commitment shown by the entire panel throughout the
entire competition was amazing and demonstrated clearly how much it meant to them to be
representing Malahide GC.
